TITAN VH Module: Compact Audio-to-Haptics Integration
Measuring just 10.8 × 10.8 mm and 2.29 mm tall, the VH Module combines digital audio-to-haptics processing, DSP and two amplified haptic outputs in a single production-ready component.
For products that already have a digital audio stream, the VH Module provides a direct path from I²S audio to one or two wideband haptic actuators, reducing the external processing, amplification and board-level integration normally required to implement audio-driven haptics.
Technical highlights
- Digital audio-to-haptics: I²S input with real-time onboard audio-to-haptics processing and DSP
- Dual amplified outputs: two independent differential channels delivering up to 3 W per channel into compatible 4–8 Ω loads at 5 V
- Dual-actuator support: drive one or two wideband haptic actuators from a single module
- Host control: serial interface for configuration and direct triggering of programmable haptic effects
- Compact integration: 10.8 × 10.8 mm castellated solder-down module designed for direct integration onto the product PCB
- 3 V or 5 V operation: designed for embedded product architectures with 3.3 V digital interfaces
The VH Module is designed for product teams looking to add or upgrade audio-driven haptics without developing a dedicated signal-processing and amplification architecture.
Instead of distributing audio-to-haptics processing, control and actuator drive across the host processor and multiple board-level components, the VH Module consolidates these functions
“We wanted the haptic signal path to become extremely simple if the product already has audio,” said Tim Szeto, Founder and CEO of TITAN Haptics. “The VH Module puts the processing, control and amplifiers into a compact module, giving hardware teams a straightforward way to evaluate and design wideband haptics into new or existing products.”
The TITAN VH Module is available now for evaluation and design-in. To learn more, visit titanhaptics.com/vhmodule.
