Company Joins VA Oncology Community in Austin Around This Year’s “Strengthening Our Community” Theme
NORTH PALM BEACH, FL, UNITED STATES, September 1, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — DSS, Inc., a leading provider of health information technology (HIT) solutions for federal, private, and public health care organizations, announced today that it will participate in the Association of VA Hematology and Oncology (AVAHO) 2026 Annual Meeting, taking place Sept. 11th to 13th at the Austin Marriott Downtown in Austin, Texas.
DSS will be located at booth #210, showcasing its flagship oncology care solutions designed to help Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) care teams address complex clinical workflows and support the delivery of high-quality cancer care for Veterans.
The 21st annual meeting brings together professionals working across the cancer care continuum to share knowledge, strengthen professional connections, and advance Veteran-focused hematology and oncology care. This year’s theme, “Strengthening Our Community,” was selected by AVAHO President Dr. Nicholas Burwick.
For DSS, “Strengthening Our Community” reflects the collaboration needed to deliver safe, high-quality cancer care to Veterans. DSS works alongside VA oncology professionals to develop technologies that support patient safety and care coordination.
Strengthening the Technology Behind Veteran Oncology Care
At AVAHO 2026, DSS will showcase Infusion Therapy Manager (ITM) and Order Tracking Manager (OTM) Oncology, solutions designed to support oncology teams as they coordinate complex care across clinical environments.
ITM supports safer, more consistent infusion therapy through evidence-based treatment plans, automated dose calculations, real-time clinical warnings, and standardized workflows. OTM Oncology complements those capabilities by providing centralized, real-time visibility into patients and clinic workflows to improve coordination and help prevent delays in patient care.
“AVAHO brings together a community that shares a common goal of delivering the safest, highest-quality cancer care possible for Veterans,” said Brian Dahl, PharmD, BCOP, oncology product line manager at DSS, Inc. “That’s why DSS continues to participate. Listening to VA oncology professionals helps us develop technology that supports patient safety, strengthens clinical workflows, and gives care teams more time to focus on the Veterans they serve.”
DSS team members, including clinicians and health IT experts, will be available throughout the meeting to demonstrate the solutions and discuss the workflow challenges faced by infusion clinic staff, oncologists, nurses, hematologists, and other health care professionals.
The AVAHO Annual Meeting is designed for professionals working with Veterans with cancer and hematological disorders and provides opportunities for education, networking, and sharing ideas and best practices across disciplines. The 2026 program includes sessions spanning oncology research, nursing, pharmacy, radiation oncology, cancer registries, and emerging topics including AI and ethics.
