Moses Singer LLP is pleased to announce the arrival of three lateral additions to the firm: Jennifer L. Saint-Louis, who will chair Moses Singer’s Trusts & Estates group; Douglass E. Barron, who joins as a partner in the Bankruptcy & Creditor’s Rights practice; and Xiomara E. Damour, who joins as a litigation associate.

“With the three talented lawyers joining us today, Moses Singer has added current and future leaders of the firm in strategically important areas,” said Dean Swagert, managing partner of Moses Singer. “Jennifer has successfully led trusts and estates practices at two previous firms and brings a practice that will thrive in our full-service environment. Douglass is a leading practitioner in his area who represents the next generation of our bankruptcy team. Like him, Xiomara comes to Moses Singer with valuable experience at an Am Law 50 firm.”

Saint-Louis, the new chair of Moses Singer’s Trusts & Estates group, joins the firm from the New York office of Davidoff Hutcher & Citron LLP, where she was a partner and co-chaired the Trusts & Estates practice. She focuses on estate planning, estate and trust administration, probate, business succession planning, elder law, and Medicaid planning. She previously led the Corporate Trusts & Estates division of New Jersey-based firm Fein, Such, Kahn & Shepard, P.C.

“I’m honored to lead a Trusts & Estates group as rich in talent and history as Moses Singer’s,” Saint-Louis said. “This is a practice that’s poised for growth, and I am already impressed with the comprehensive support the full Moses Singer team can provide our clients.”

Barron joins Moses Singer as a partner in the Bankruptcy & Creditor’s Rights practice from the New York office of Paul Hastings LLP. There, he represented debtors, creditors, bondholders, foreign representatives, and official committees in U.S. and cross-border restructurings. He has represented stakeholders in landmark matters including Puerto Rico’s historic public debt restructuring and the bankruptcy of Ho Wan Kwok, who was convicted in connection with a billion-dollar fraud scheme. His litigation work has produced judgments in the tens of millions of dollars.

“I look forward to contributing to Moses Singer’s sophisticated Bankruptcy & Creditor’s Rights practice,” said Barron, whose background includes a clerkship in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York and service as a trial attorney with the U.S. Trustee Program. “I’m eager to use all of my experience in assisting clients and helping to write the firm’s continuing growth story.”

Damour previously practiced as a litigation associate in the New York office of the Am Law 50 firm Mayer Brown LLP. Her broad-based litigation experience includes disputes in both federal and state courts and arbitrations involving lender liability, securities fraud, and breach of contract claims. She also brings experience coordinating white-collar criminal investigations.
