Newly created role will expand Petra’s engagement across the private markets community

NEW YORK, Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Petra Funds Group (“Petra”), a leading private funds administrator to global private investment managers delivering high-touch, technology-enabled solutions across the middle and back office, today announced the appointment of Christine “Chris” Tamms as Director, Head of Market Engagement. In the newly created role, Tamms will focus on strengthening Petra’s connections across the private markets community and expanding how the firm engages with industry professionals.

Tamms will lead events, thought leadership and industry discussions to bring private markets professionals together to exchange ideas, share best practices and build stronger connections across the market. The appointment reflects Petra’s continued growth and its desire to play a more active role in the conversations shaping the private funds industry.

Tamms joins Petra after nearly five years at PEI Group in New York, where she led peer-to-peer communities for private markets professionals. Through events, content, insights, and connection services, she brought private fund teams together to share knowledge, learn from their peers, and navigate key industry issues.

Prior to PEI Group, Tamms served as a community manager at Cambridge University Press. Earlier in her career, she worked in events for a residential real estate developer specializing in private, environmentally sensitive sporting communities and clubs in the Caribbean and at luxury resorts. Across these roles, she has focused on creating experiences that strengthen relationships, build loyalty and connect people around shared interests and challenges.
