Altera Digital Health, a global healthcare IT leader and business unit of Harris Computer, today announced a series of executive leadership transitions designed to position the company for its next phase of growth. Effective October 1, 2026, the changes strengthen Altera’s leadership structure, advance its focus on artificial intelligence and innovation, and reinforce its commitment to operational excellence and delivering measurable value to clients.
The leadership transitions include:
Mark Bennett Becomes Altera’s First Portfolio Leader. Mark Bennett has transitioned from Executive Vice President to Altera’s first Portfolio Leader, with primary responsibility for capital deployment and oversight of select operating businesses, including CareInMotion. Since joining Altera, Bennett has led the transformation of the company’s procurement operations, improving efficiency and accelerating vendor onboarding. His experience in capital deployment began after selling Mitchell & McCormick to Harris in 2015, following 33 years with the company. He subsequently served as an Executive Vice President at Harris. Bennett holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Georgia State University.
Jay Adams Named Group Leader at Altera Digital Health. Jay Adams has transitioned from Executive Vice President of Sunrise™ to Group Leader at Altera. Adams brings more than 15 years of client-facing experience spanning sales, professional services, technical support and client success. His career progression across Harris and Altera has given him a broad understanding of both the client experience and the operational discipline required to build enduring businesses. Adams previously served as Executive Vice President for Harris Affinity and held leadership positions at Picis. A United States Navy veteran, Adams holds an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in information technology from Western Governors University and a master’s degree in information technology from American Public University.
Shanna DeLeo Named Executive Vice President of Sunrise. Shanna DeLeo succeeds Adams as Executive Vice President of Sunrise, expanding her leadership responsibility after serving as Chief Technology Officer and, previously, SVP of Development. DeLeo has been a key driver of transformation and execution across Sunrise, leading global research and development and connecting product strategy, innovation and delivery. She helped lead the successful delivery of Sunrise 25.1, the platform’s first major release in three years, with nearly 700 new features and enhancements. Since its June 2025 release, Sunrise 25.1 has become the foundation for 32 clients and introduced four new products to the portfolio: Sunrise Health Record, Sunrise Thread AI, Sunrise CarePath and Sunrise Axon. DeLeo has also driven efforts to bring research and development closer to the client experience, including R&D participation in domestic Sunrise 25.1 go-lives and initiatives focused on improving product quality and reducing client-reported defects. Her leadership and focus on continuous improvement earned her Altera’s Operational Excellence Award in 2025. Before joining Altera, DeLeo held leadership positions across several Harris businesses. She holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in educational and instructional technology from the University of Central Florida.
“These transitions reflect both the strength of our leadership team and where we are taking Altera,” said Marcus Perez, President, Altera Digital Health. “We are focused on growth, innovation and becoming an even stronger partner to our clients. Mark, Jay and Shanna are proven leaders who understand our businesses, our clients and our culture. Each brings a different strength to what comes next, but they share the same commitment to operational excellence, accountability and building enduring businesses. I am confident this team will help us move faster, create greater value for our clients and position Altera for long-term growth.”
