The Atheneum Museum has unveiled a stunning 1,800-year-old Roman mosaic, discovered beneath a city car park. This remarkably intact floor, depicting a vivid hunting scene, is one of the best-preserved ever found in the region.

After a year-long conservation effort, this ancient masterpiece will be the centerpiece of a new permanent gallery opening this autumn. It offers a unique glimpse into Roman life, right under our feet.
